Autonomous Car Not Be Present In The Road Until 2025

Many automotive manufacturers have started developing autonomous car technology. Some of them are optimistic that autonomous cars can be mass produced and used on public roads by 2020.

However, as reported by autoevolution, Thursday (31/12/2015), Bosch as a company engineering and German multinational electronics manufacturer against optimism that developing autonomous car. Bosch calls, autonomous cars will not be spread on public roads until 2025.

President of the Bosch Chassis Control Systems Division, Gerhard Steiger predicted that by 2020 new cars can change lanes without fully autonomous driving capabilities. He indicated that a fully autonomous car can only be used in 2025.

According to him, the autonomous car testing in the real world should be done not only in the United States. However, testing at the testing facility and other countries that allow legislators must also be performed.

Predictions and opinions Steiger comes shortly after a study that showed weakness in the autonomous car technology. According to the study, fully autonomous cars have crashed higher than cars driven by humans.
