Ducati Machine Could Use V4 Supercharger or Turbocharger?
Ducati is the manufacturer that is quite well known as a
manufacturer of motorcycles with engines notorious and fierce. The carrying of
the motor is not as quiet as Honda, even Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade considered
vicious in the Honda line-up was much more easy to use than the Ducati 1199
Panigale. The ferocity concoction is on the engine components close to the
circuit and design spec L-Twin engine. But it seems the year 2016 be a tough
test for Ducati.
Quoted from Auto Evolution, some manufacturers now have
to struggle through the regulation of Euro 4 in 2016. This inevitably means
that the manufacturer must make a machine from scratch by-pass regulation, not
least the L-Twin Ducati machine. How do I skip these regulations? there are 3
ways: increase the capacity of the machine, forcing him to wear a super smaller
exhaust or use forced induction aka supercharger or turbo.
The first and second already reflected passing through
959 Ducati Panigale, enlarge the capacity is solved, using super clogged exhaust
done. and the result is, of course,
minimal praise of the biker. Euro 4 exhaust managed to succeed despite castrate
outturn combination machine already
swollen. The only way that the ideal is forced induction or supercharger /
turbocharger.
French media Moto-Station quite curious on this rumor and
try to ask to Stefano Strappazzon, Product Manager of Ducati. Strappazzon does not give an answer on the matter, but he added
the point that the two-wheeler industry is experiencing technological problems,
especially when applying forced induction. When the motor uses a supercharger /
turbocharger thing that must be faced is a new problem: the motor weight,
complexity, cost and land constraints of production.
While Stefano Tarabusi, project manager XDiavel a
statement that is quite surprising, Panigale machines can no longer be enlarged
capacity. However, Tarabusi signaled that
replacing the model of the machine could be the solution as a mechanism V4 or
use forced induction.
In the arena of MotoGP, construction V4 reap positive
results and actually downgraded to spec highway it easier to V4 than forced
induction. Tarabusi adding Ducati has the full
support of Audi, but Ducati has never
asked for help to the owner of this new technology. Whereas about innovation in
the field of technology, of course, we
never doubted the quality of Audi.
In fact, Kawasaki and Suzuki are already applying forced
induction project and it will certainly be a surprise if there are other
manufacturers that follow this step. Application of V4 itself is not a bad move
to Ducati. But aside that at least there is still a glimmer of hope to improve
the Ducati MotoGP machine in the hands of Gigi Dall'Igna, the new CEO of Ducati
Corse.
