Mercedes-Benz Appointed New CEO In The US

The three-star brands recently announced Dietmar Exler-Vice President in charge of sales in the United States has officially been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting from 01/01/2016.

Exler will replace Stephen Cannon, former CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA). Stephen Cannon will leave the old position to AMB Group executives but will remain as a consultant to the airline until 31/1/2016.

On his new position, the new CEO is responsible Exler driving Mercedes-Benz and Smart brand in the US and the North Atlantic region (NAFTA). So he will be operating more than 1,500 employees in the US and more than 1,240 employees in Canada and Mexico and will be responsible for maintaining impressive sales of the company in the future.

Exler who have experience working with Mercedes-Benz has held many important positions differ from Mercedes-Benz, Daimler and Daimler Chrysler from years 2002-2010. Then he returned to the US to work, and after 5 years, he was appointed to the position of vice-president in charge of sales of Mercedes-Benz in the US on May 01/2014.
