In Milan, Italy, the local government imposed a ban on the entire vehicle for three days from December 28 to 30 to come between 10 am and 4 pm. During this period, all residents are prohibited from driving on the streets of the fashion capital.

"In the midst of pollution emergencies like this, we can not act indifferent," said the Mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapiain the BBC extracted by Carscoops, Saturday (12/26/2015).

As a solution, the government mobilized public transportation for people's mobility. Tariffs charged for public transportation at 1.5 euros.

Milan became the most polluted cities and has the worst smog in Europe since 2008. As in the Italian capital, Rome, local authorities imposed a vehicle-free zone.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of New Delhi in India banned the sale of diesel cars for a while.
