This Is The Best Car In Singapore

BMW i8 received the title as Car of the Year of the leading media of Singapore, The Straits Times. This hybrid sports car gets 275 points, beating the BMW 7 Series in second place with 236 points.

In Singapore, this model was first launched in late November last year. Limited only by its own assessment models launched since mid-November 2015 to the same period this year.

"BMW i8 worthy of being Car of the Year 2015 because it has the X factor that is difficult to understand, and all you want in a sports car appearance and performance," said Lynn Tan, one of the judges.

Meanwhile, according to another judge, Jeremy Chua, i8 win not only fast and exotic but also is suitable for `PlayStation` generation. "It makes me feel older," he said.

The selection of winners is done by the voting system. The jury assesses the nine attributes of cars, among which is the performance, efficiency, styling, and factor X. The five maximum points can be awarded to one of the attributes of each car.

This is not the first award earned this model in 2015. Earlier, in April, the BMW i8 award-winning World Green Car of the Year in the event the New York Auto Show in 2015.

In addition, cars entering Indonesia via general importers supported 1.5 turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a lithium-ion battery 7.1 kWh. This model consumes only 2.1 liters of fuel for a distance up to 100 km.
