Kia Introduces Autonomous Drive Technology At CES 2016
Kia also announced plans to produce partially autonomous vehicles in 2020 and aims to bring the fully-autonomous vehicles to market by 2030.
Debuting at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 (CES) in Las Vegas on 6-9 January 2016, Drive Wise technologies currently under development. With Drive Wise, Kia can introduce intelligent security technology in future model type, helping to reduce the potential for harmful and boredom while driving.
In the 2016 CES, Kia describes the development of autonomous driving technology. Starting from today's model of Kia vehicles up with cutting-edge features that will be developed over the next 15 years under the auspices of Drive Wise. Visitors had the opportunity to experience the latest generation technologies and concepts with interactive displays.
"Kia While undergoing a gradual process and very promising in introducing technology partially autonomous and fully autonomous in the vehicle," said Senior Vice Preseident, Central Advanced Research and Engineering Institute of Hyundai Motor Group, Tae-Won Lim, Tuesday.
He added though fully autonomous vehicle from Kia that was first marketed will not be available in the near future.
R & D team is developing a range Drive Wise technology so as to improve safety on the road and develop driver assistance. Innovations that were presented at this year's exhibition shows the future direction Kia will take.
